A Co Monaghan business was one of five winners of the Eirgrid Euro-Toques Food Awards announced yesterday.

Glenfin Farm based in Tydavnet produces free range duck eggs for the Irish market.

The company run by Brian Phelan and Margret Delaney are selling into over 100 specialist food stores with various distributors nationwide.

The aim of the Euro-Toque awards is to acknowledge those who have made a significant contribution to the Irish food Industry and this years theme was to recognise foods traditional to Irelands heritage.

These awards are unique as all winners were nominated by the top chefs and cooks in the industry.
